Accessibility

ADA and Accessibility Policy

  • We are dedicated to ensuring that The Gilded Age is accessible to all attendees. The museum is ADA accessible, and attendees may contact teabotevents@gmail.com for specific questions regarding accessibility.
  • For attendees that require a caregiver to attend the event, caregivers must have their own ticket. Caregivers may choose to wear Western formalwear in lieu of lolita, ouji, or aristocrat fashion.
  • Upon request, accessible seating can be provided. Please contact us directly if you require accessible seating for yourself and/or a caregiver.

Mask Policy

  • All attendees are required to wear a well-fitting mask that covers their mouths and noses. Masks must be worn at all times with the exception of:
    • Actively eating or drinking
    • Briefly taking photos in designated areas
  • Masks will be available at the event if you forget to bring one.
  • Due to the unpredictable nature of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, we reserve the right to implement additional restrictions at any time.

Venue

  • The Museum has accessible bathrooms on the first and second floors (the latter in the event space).

Tea Service

  • Afternoon tea will be catered by Vintage Tea & Cake Co.
  • Tea service at The Gilded Age will be served buffet style.
  • All items will be nut-free and shellfish-free.
  • Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options will be available. At the end of March, ticketholders will receive an email with a form collecting dietary preferences. Your responses will help us know how many options we need in these categories!
  • If you have any additional allergies or sensitivities, our caterer can make sure all items that include them are labeled accordingly, but we can’t accommodate individual menu requests.
  • Our caterer does not have an exclusively gluten-free, nut-free, or shellfish-free kitchen.
